County Competitions


Congratulations to Laura Holden and her partner Rebecca McMilan who have won the County Junior Ladies title.


Fraser Ham and his partner unfortunately lost in their final still very well done to get to that stage of the compettion.

.

Also congratulations to Andy Mace who has reached the Final of the Two Wood Competition.


Both of the above  now qualify for the National Finals at Leamington during August.

Further success for the ladies at the semi-finals when Steph Branfield secured a place in the Final and the National Finals next month.


Not to be outdone the men achieved an outstanding double when Andy Mace, Dave Brightman, Alan Bradley and Pip Branfield (substituting for Gary Jay) won through to the Men’s Fours final and a place at the National Finals next month,


The same four, with Pip Branfield substituting for Maurice Davis, also won a final place in the over 55 Men’s Fours.

CLEVEDON BC MEN’S  FOUR  ACHIEVE A DOUBLE WIN AT THE COUNTY SEM-FINALS


An excellent day for a Clevedon four at the County semi-finals last Sunday when Andy Mace, Dave Brightman, Alan Bradley and Pip Branfield (substituting for Gary Jay) won through to the Men’s Fours final and a place at the National Finals next month,


The same four, with Pip Branfield substituting for Maurice Davis, also won a final place in the over 55 Men’s Fours.


On the previous Sunday Clevedon member Laura Holden together with Rebecca McMilan of St Andrews won the County Junior Ladies title


Congratulations – BIBC and BIWBC International Series – Junior Internationals


Congratulations to Laura Holden on being selected for the above Series.  We wish you all the very best and we are sure you will be a credit to both the club and Somerset.  The series takes place at City of Derry BC, Londonderry, Northern Ireland on Saturday 22/23 July 2017.
