Welcome to our Club

We are a mixed bowls club with over 80 members of all ages and abilities. As a collective we enjoy games in National Competitions, League, County and friendly matches as well as regularly welcoming touring teams throughout the season. Our club is situated in an elevated position, adjacent to Christ Church and close to the iconic Hill Road shops. Our viewing gallery boasts spectacular views, which can be especially enjoyed with a glass of something refreshing from our fully stocked bar. New members are always welcomed, whether a newcomer to the sport or a seasoned player. 
What is Bowls?
Bowls is played by people of all ages, the basics are easy to pick up and the aim very simple - to get your bowls as close as possible to a target ball called the "jack".  

As we have both indoor and outdoor greens, its possible to play anytime and in any weather. It's sociable, fun and very addictive. 

Despite being a gentle (but competitive) game bowls can improve hand/eye coordination and have a positive effect on flexibility and muscle strength. 

Can I give it a try?

Yes - of course - you would be very welcome.   We can lend you some bowls so you can give it a go - either inside or out and give you some guidance and tips on how to deliver the bowls on the green. 

We have a club night during the summer every Monday evening, or Monday afternoons during the winter.
